Primary Mouse DRG Cultures The DRGs are extracted from mouse spinal column and then digested with collagenase and papain to obtain single cell suspensions. The cells are then cultured on PDL-coated coverslips for the purpose of calcium imaging experiments. In addition, DRG cultures can also be treated with various compounds and the supernatants can be collected and analyzed for factors that are produced by DRG cells under different conditions. DRGs are sensory neurons so these cultures allows for the study of pain pathways. The charge is $500 for bilateral (up to 6 DRGs per animal) |
